AUTOMATED MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS (AMS) TECHNICIAN
Overview
We are currently seeking AMS TECHNICIANS who will be responsible for initial start-up, testing, and programming for our wide- and narrow-web digital printing equipment.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have:
- Associates Degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience or coursework in programmable logoic controllers, AC and servo motors, motor controllers, pneumatics, electrical systems, and user interface panels.
- Experience with B & R controllers and drives is a bonus.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient knowledge in the use of notebook computers and Microsoft Office software.
- Exceptional mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience performing similar duties is highly desirable.
Expectations
The qualified candidate will be expected to:
- Start up, test, and program EMT equipment using knowledge of mechanical and electrical machinery.
- Consult with engineering for improvements or problem resolution of machine design and deviation of machine operation from original specifications.
- Represent EMT favorably at all times.
- Work professionally with other personnel.
- Effectively interact with customers at all levels of the organization.
- Operate machines or equipment through trial run in-house ensuring quality and rate of production meets specifications.
- Train customer's personnel in adjusting, maintaining, and repairing equipment.
- Perform duties in assembly of mechanical, electrical or pneumatic components, prepare equipment manuals, and prepare EMT equipment for shipment.
