HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR
Overview
We are currently seeking a HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR who will be responsible for ensuring we attract and retain the workforce needed to execute our strategic and aggressive business plan. The Human Resources Director will report directly to the company President and be a key member of the management team. Key accountabilities include the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Human Resources function with emphasis on the recruitment and retention of a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
- From 4-7 years progressively responsible human resources generalist experience.
- Related industry experience highly desirable.
- Excellent consulting skills.
- Excellent management and business literacy skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
- Ability to effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address business needs.
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate company needs and make recommendations for implementation.
- Strong knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation and benefit practices, recruitment, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state employment laws.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Expectations
The qualified candidate will be expected to:
- Develop overall recruitment strategy for the company. Conduct all recruitment activities.
- Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
- Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation. Develop related policies.
- Develop employment training programs; conduct training. Participate in evaluation and monitoring of success of training programs. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are met.
- Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals.
- Responsible for administration of company safety program.
- Responsible for administration of employee compensation and benefit programs.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
